Our Team:

The team at Alderwood Middle School is comprised of one YFC staff member and multiple volunteers from Alderwood Community Church. Together, it is our heart to serve the school and the students, to see posotive changes in the student's lives, to help them grow through biblical/academic mentorship and posotive role models around the campus , and ultimatly, coming to realize the REAL and PASSIONATE love that Jesus has for them. It is our hope to see students enter into a relationship with Jesus, and experience the truth, ferver, and love that He has for each of them, and His hand over their lives.

What we do:

We serve the school in whatever ways are needed. Currently, we help supervise lunches, interacting with students to foster and insure a safe, positive enviornment in the cafeteria, and we spend time mentoring students that the school's administration sets us up with. We are blessed to have the opportunity to meet with students during one period of the school day to assist them with homework, unfinished assignments, organization, and general life planning. 

We also host an event called Campus Life, which is an after school club that occurs every other Friday from 6:30-8:00pm.  This club exists for two reasons: 1) to be a place for Christian students to gather together, establish relationships, and begin to reach their school for Jesus, and 2) to be a safe, non-threatening environment where non-Christian students can encounter the message of Jesus and learn about who God really is and what it means to be loved by Him. Also, Youth For Christ holds fast to the clear Bibilical belief and importance of discipleship, so at the end of each "club", the local church (Alderwood Community) is introduced and offered as a place to the students who want to know more about Jesus and have a desire to be disciplied through Scripture - The Word of God. These things are accomplished through fun activities, games, relationship building times, and conversations led by our incredible team.
