Go on a mission trip in your own backyard
Ever wanted to go on a mission trip? Now you can experience the mission field in your own “backyard”. CityServe is a local missions experience for junior high and high school students to serve people in need in their own communities all over King and Snohomish County.
Youth for Christ provides 2 different CityServe opportunities each year:
Fall CityServe Day – October, 9, 2010
Every October, YFC facilitates and mobilizes the largest youth service effort in the northwest. Last year, we had nearly 700 students all out serving people in our community throughout Snohomish and King County in partnership with dozens of churches and social service agencies.
CityServe Mission Trip – Memorial Day Weekend – May 28-30, 2010
This spring, YFC will be facilitating a CityServe urban mission trip experience for junior high and high school students in the Seattle Metro area. In partnership with social service agencies who understand the unique and complex issues of people living in urban areas, students will experience eye opening urban plunge tours of local shelters and ministries, learn about social justice issues and how they can get involved, and participate in meaningful service projects throughout King County on both Saturday and Sunday. Mission trip ends Sunday night. Cost per student is $79 and this includes all housing, meals and programs costs for the weekend.
